Welcome to Austin, Texas! Our home has been crowned the live music capital of the world and is getting ready to host the 30th SXSW festival. Over the years our city has continued to evolve and become a beacon for thousands of new residents. Sure we may be slightly overcrowded now and are battling some changes, but those can just be perceived as possible growing pains.

Our city is nestled on the eastern edge of the Texas Hill Country where you'll find a wide range of options to keep yourself entertained. Not to mention a job market that continues to hold steady. Austin has been voted one of the best places to live over the past few years and the press continues to shine light on what used to be one of the best-kept secrets in the Lone Star State.

So what public perception has the press helped create for our beloved city? We dove into our platform to look at all the recent media coverage and launched an interactive report to help shed some light on the matter.

Top 10 Press Key Messages:

1). Technology: We're all about it! Just ask Dell, HomeAway, or TrendKite!

2). Fitness: Want to go hiking? Check out a park? Maybe a light jog?

3). Music: Nothing better than listening to some live jams

4). Food: Craving some BBQ? Looking for a new food truck?

5). Creative: There is definitely no shortage of artists creating new street art

6). University of Texas: Hook 'em Horns!

7). Festivals: Take your pick: ACL, FunFunFun Fest, Marley Fest...the list goes on.

8). SXSW: Enjoy three crazy weeks of tech, music and film.

9). Weird: We may be "weird," but that's not stopping people from moving here.

10). Tacos: Have you ever heard of breakfast tacos? You'll love them.
